Pre-Professional Advising

Illinois State offers a comprehensive preparatory plan of study for admission to graduate level programs in the health professions. These include medicine, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy and pharmacy. We do not have a “pre-med” major at ISU, but instead offer a structured plan of courses and experiences for highly motivated students wishing to prepare for a career in the medical field. You may choose any major as long as you take the required prerequisite courses for the profession you are interested. Please contact Preprofessional Advisor Ashley Berg for additional information.

To determine required coursework, please select the profession you are interested in below for more information.
