COMPASS Math Placement Exam

Special Note about the COMPASS Exam:

Students taking course placement at ISU will need to complete the ALEKS math placement assessment. COMPASS is no longer offered as a placement exam for higher education institutions.

 

Will my COMPASS scores still be used for course registration?

Yes. If you completed the COMPASS exam at Illinois State University before November 20, 2016, your scores are still valid for two years and can be used for course registration.

 

Can I transfer my COMPASS scores to another institution?

Please note: The following institutions DO NOT accept the Illinois State University COMPASS exam, you should contact each institution's testing office to schedule to complete their version of the COMPASS exam.

Elgin Community College

 

If you took Illinois State University's COMPASS math placement exam and would like to have your scores transferred to another institution, please complete this TRANSFER FORM .
