You know about Illinois State, you are familiar with Normal, and you know the study skills that work in high school, but life in college is different.
SSS (Summer Success Skills) is a summer course designed for incoming freshmen who want to get a jump-start on learning how to best navigate college. With a community of your peers, IDS 107 helps you balance your life as a busy college student by focusing on academic skills, social opportunities, career investigation and civic engagement.
Develop or enhance academic skills such as taking notes, studying for exams, and managing your time
Connect to campus resources and services
Gain a sense of community and have the chance to interact with your peers before the semester begins.
Learn about campus before the fall semester begins
Earn 3 elective credit hours toward graduation
Lock-in last year’s tuition prices for the next 4 years
This 3-credit class meets July 1 – Aug. 8 (Monday through Thursday) from 11:00 – 12:15.
