COMPASS Math Placement Testing
The COMPASS Math Placement exam (required for all incoming Freshmen with Math ACT scores of 26 and below) can be taken at ISU or an approved remote test site.
For an up-to-date list of approved remote test sites, please visit COMPASS testing sites. But, whether you're taking the test on-campus or off, you'll need to pre-register with ISU's Testing office.
Call us at 309.438.2100, or visit our website for more information.
Check your My.IllinoisState.edu account to see if this applies to you. Students not in a major after earning 75 hrs. can only enroll for the next semester if they complete the online 75-Hr. Appeal.
The appeal process requires students to answer several questions outlining their plan for gaining admission into a major. For more information, visit the 75 Hour Policy section of the University College website.
COMPASS Math Placement Tests should be taken 2 weeks prior to your Preview date.
ACT Residual Exam
University College Testing Services administers the ACT Residual Test once a month on campus for ISU Admission. For more information and upcoming test dates, please visit the ACT-R site.
