Writing Assistance

From papers to emails, we can teach you how to be a good writer in all kinds of situations. You’ll work one-on-one with a writing expert to become a better writer.

To get writing help, you can make an appointment, stop by during our drop-in hours, or submit your writing to us online.

Drop-In

No appointment necessary.

Drop-in appointments are 30 minutes and are available on a first come, first served basis.

  • Monday: 12-8 p.m.

  • Tuesday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 10a.m.-1p.m.,  3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

  • Thursday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2-8 p.m.

  • Friday:  10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Sunday: 4-8 p.m.

  • Milner Library Writing Assistance (located in the 2nd floor Annex)      

    Mondays: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

  • Tuesdays: 6-8 p.m.

    Thursdays: 12- 2p.m. and 4-6 p.m.

Online Submission

With asynchronous writing assistance, you can submit your writing online and get feedback from a writing tutor.

Keep in Mind

  • Feedback takes 3 to 5 business days.

  • Tutors do not edit your paper. They leave comments and suggestions about recommended changes.

  • If you want to discuss your work, schedule a writing assistance appointment.
