Become a member of one of the longest running Academic Peer Advising programs in the nation. In addition to learning more about the resources at Illinois State, you will also gain valuable skills to help you as you transition to your career.

Dates of Employment
- August 14, 2019 – May 15, 2020
- May include University breaks
- Optional summer availability from May 13 – August 13, 2019
- Work 14 – 16 hours a week (dependent on advisement office needs & time of year)
- Office hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm & Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Who Can Apply
- Current undergraduate students
- Minimum GPA: 2.75
- Minimum 1 year commitment
- Available for mandatory pre-semester training August 14 – 16
- Available for mandatory weekly training throughout each semester on Thursdays from 8:00 am-8:50 am
Application Process
There are two ways to get more information about the Peer Advising position and application process.
- Attend an Information Session: Tuesday, January 29 at 4:30p in Degarmo Hall 018 (CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER)

Applications will be available from January 14 – 31, 2019 on the ISU Jobs website.
Reference Form
At least one reference form is required in order to be considered for the Academic Peer Advising position. Reference forms must be submitted before the February 8, 2019 deadline.
