You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers! Academic advisors are here to help you navigate your intended academic path while at Illinois State University. We help you plan a course schedule, adjust to college life, and choose a major. We also provide referrals to other resources and services on campus.
With the exception of those students participating in the Honors Program, University College academic advisors advise all students who have less than 24 credit hours earned and are two semesters removed from high school graduation. University College also advises all Undeclared students.
If your regularly assigned advisor is unavailable or you have questions and don't know who to ask, this service is for you. No appointment necessary. Students are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-in assistance typically lasts 10-15 minutes.
Students often have goals that extend beyond a single category. University College offers specialized advising for students in the following groups. Academic advisors for these special populations resceive additional training.
