With the exception of those students participating in the Honors Program, University College academic advisors advise all students who have less than 24 credit hours earned and are two semesters removed from high school graduation. University College also advises all Undeclared students.
Academic advisors are here to help you navigate your intended academic path while at Illinois State University. We help you plan a course schedule, adjust to college life, choose a major or change your major. We also provide referrals to other resources and services on campus.
You can find your assigned academic advisor in your Student Service Center. Log in with your ULID and password, click on Student Service Center, and find your advisor name and contact information listed on the right side of your screen. You will also see information on how to schedule an advising appointment.
If you have an urgent academic issue or are looking to change your current major, this service is for you. No appointment is necessary and students are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-in assistance typically lasts 10-15 minutes and will take place virtually via Zoom.
